The NSW Government will extend the principal place of residence stamp duty exemption to ‘seniors’ between 55 and 65 years of age. Currently, the exemption is only for 65 years of age or older. Hi,
Could you please tell me if this only applies to the purchase of a new property for (between 55 and 65 years of age) as principal residence. I am presently selling my principal residence and looking to purchase another unit to live in. I am within this age bracket.
Thank you.
Di
Hi Di, There has been some further changes to stamp duty purchasing with within NSW. My advise would be to visit the Office Of State Revenues NSW website which has loads of information available on it.
