Today the old Eckersly’s art supplies warehouse on the corner of Parry and Union Street, sold for $1,080,000. The sale price was well above the reserve according to Raine & Horne Newcastle Principal Jason Maxwell.

Owned by the same family since 1942, bidding opened at $800,000 and steadily increased with competition between two bidders. A crowd of approximately 40 people watched on.
